  • October 2016: Our invited paper "A review of the structure-property relationships in lead-free piezoelectric (1-x)Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-(x)BaTiO3" was published in the Journal of Solid State Chemistry. http://dx/doi.org/10.1016/j.jssc.2016.01.008.  This was Ryan's first paper - congrats Ryan!

  • April was a great month for the Dolgos Group!  Michelle recieved an NSF grant: "SusChem:  Elucidating Structure-Property Relationships in Lead-Free Piezoelectrics", Wesley passed his candidacy exam, Matt was awarded a URISC Fellowship, and Vanesa was hired at BAS Research!!!!!

  • August 2015:  Dylan received an OMSI Science Communication Fellowship!  Congrats Dylan!
  • June 2015: Alicia, Ryan, and Wesley went to Oak Ridge National Lab to collect data at the Synchrotron Neutron Source.  It was a fantastic experience and we collected A LOT of data!!!

                      

 

  • June 2015: Dolgos Group undergraduates Matt and Tom presented their work at the ChUME Research Poster Session.  Matt won an award for the best poster!  Congrats Matt!!

          

 

  • June 2015: Congratulations to Dylan Fast for winning the Benedict Award (outstanding 2nd year graduate student), Ryan McQuade for winning a Milton Harris Summer Fellowship, and Wesley Surta for winning a Lab TA Award at our annual chemistry department award ceremony!

           

 

  • April 2015:  Wesley, Ryan, and Tom go to the Advance Photon Source to collect high resolution X-ray synchrotron data on our novel piezoelectric materials.

                               

  • March 2015: Our Group's Paper "Synthesis and Solid-State Structural Characterization of a Series of Aqueous Heterometallic Tridecameric Group 13 Clusters" has been published.   • March 2015:  Alicia Manjon-Sanz joined the group as a postdoctoral researcher.  Welcome to the group Alicia!
  • March 2015:  Michelle received a RERF award from Oregon State University to purchase a Solartron Modulab for electric characterization.
  • Undergraduates Tom Rowe and Jonathon Lopez were both admitted to the CSMC's SMART Camp summer research program.  Congrats!!!!

  • July 2014:  Michelle attened the Cottrell Scholars Collaborative Worshop for new faculty members.  She recommends this workshop for all new chemistry faculty!
  • July 2014:  Dylan, Shawn Decker, and Michelle went to the APS at Argonne National Laboratory to collect in-plane thin film diffraction data of HfO2 films.
  • June 2014:  Wes and Ryan went to a magnetic neutron diffraction workshop at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
  • June 2014: Michelle gave a talk at the American Conference on Neutron Scattering.
  • May 2014: Undergraduate Jonathon Lopez received the DeLoach Work Scholarship from the Honors Program.  This will fund his research in the Dolgos group next fall.  Congratulations Jonathon!!!!
